The Company Magazine
Not many companies are large enough to do this but there are some smaller businesses out there today that employ this type of marketing strategy; the company magazine. Companies print newsletters, email newsletters, brochures and many other materials to market their products and services to the public but not many have magazines printed to get their name out to the public. A company magazine can consist of various sections that focus on different items or issues within the company that relate to the public and their clients.
A possible outline for a company magazine can include the following segments or sections:
- Lead Story: This story would focus on a new employee, a feature on a tenured employee, the addition of a new service, new sale prices and much more.
- Company History Segment
- Overview of the Company’s profits
- Photos of the company’s employees hard at work
- Interviews with clients of the company that describe in detail how work is performed and if the customers were satisfied
- Contact information for the company
- A page about job openings or future job openings
- Articles about company acquisitions, new buildings, or any other new additions to the company
Company magazines can be printed and distributed monthly or bi-monthly. They typically are not printed once per week or more than twice per month because of cost. Company magazines can be a great way to market the company to the public and acquire new clients without having to employ the services of a marketing company to do the work for you.
