Marketing Campaigns

A marketing campaign is one of the most important aspects of a business in today’s high powered business world and no business can be a success without a strong marketing campaign. The majority of marketing campaigns also include advertising campaigns. We must differentiate between the two here. An advertising campaign is strictly placing advertisements on billboards, in the newspaper, in magazines, on park benches, on television and on the radio that talk about the business and the services that the business offers.

A marketing campaign includes advertising but it also includes different studies that are performed regarding the demographics or the population that the business targets with its products. A marketing campaign will also include handing out business cards or other products such as pens, notepads, mouse pads or magnets with the business’ information printed on them.

A marketing campaign could also include the use of a direct mailing campaign. In a direct mailing campaign a company could have thousands of brochures printed with a bunch of information about the company and then mail those brochures out to area residents and other businesses. But how can the business make sure that their mail isn’t just tossed away because it might seem like junk mail?

For starters, make sure you address the mailing to each individual person you wish to send it to. Don’t just put ‘To resident’ or ‘To valued customer.’ Personalize each piece of mail. This will take much longer to accomplish but the response in return to the mailer will be enormous. Putting a personal touch on the mailer will definitely earn your company much more business.
