Cell Phone Marketing
Cell phone marketing hasn’t really taken off, yet, but we have a feeling that it will. Even though there are hundreds of different ways to reach peopel these days (Facebook, Twitter, forums, MySpace, Skype and others) text messaging is still an immensely popular way to contact others. This is what leads us to believe that cell phone marketing will soon take off to enormous heights. What do we mean by cell phone marketing? We explain below.
The address book on a person’s cell phone typically has over 100-200 entries stored within it, meaning one text message could reach over 150 people at once. So, if you are running a business or a website that needs visitors why not send the link to the site or information about the business to the people in your address book? It makes sense. If you have unlimited texting on your phone’s data plan then this won’t cost you one cent. Pretty sweet deal isn’t it? Free marketing never hurt anyone so why would it hurt you?
Once you send out the initial message to over 100 people you can request that they forward the message to everyone in their address book. That’s at least another 100 people per person from the original message. Now we are talking at least 10,000 people getting your original message about your website or business. Now this is beginning to really sound like a good idea isn’t it? If you reached 150 people the first time you will be reaching 22,500 people after they send your message to the folks in their address book.
